What is Amigo Pickleball Hux?
Amigo Pickleball Hux began in November 2025 with the merging of two pickleball groups in Huatulco, Mexico. The merging of the two groups, Unidad Deportiva and Escuela 144, gives registered players access to 9 pickleball courts throughout the season.
Our high season runs from November 1st to March 31st
Low season play will continue as long as there are sufficient players.
How do I become a registered member?
At the beginning of each season a master list of previous members is invited to join the current season’s roster.
There are 90 active membership spaces which are filled on a first come, first served basis according to that year’s registration deadline (typically December 1st).
Once active membership spaces are filled, registration opens for players interested in playing as a Drop -In.
Drop-In registrations are ongoing throughout the season, but are capped at 110 players.
Where do I register for Amigo Pickleball Hux?
You can fill out the Amigo Pickleball Hux registration form at www.AmigoPickleballHUX.com
You will receive email notification that your registration form has been received and that your membership is
pending approval.
What is the cost of membership?
There are two (2) fee structures for 2025/2026
An active membership fee is $1,000 pesos for the season, with access to:
Two (2) sessions per weekday (Monday through Friday) at Unidad Deportiva
Unlimited play evenings and weekends at Escuela 144
Fees are collected at the beginning of the season.
A Drop- In fee is $50 pesos per session played, with access to:
Open playing spaces once active members have booked their spots.
Fees are payable to the host volunteer at the beginning of the session.
How do I book a playing session?
All sessions are available on the website under Sign-up to Play this Week www.amigopickleballhux.com
The schedule for the coming week’s sessions is released every Saturday.
Active members are able to sign-up beginning at 7:00am on Saturday morning;
Drop-In players are able to sign-up at 7:00am on Sunday morning.
Using the green Weekly Sign-Up App button, select your sessions from the Choose Session drop down menu. You will see an onscreen confirmation message of booked sessions
Your name will be added to the Attendance Record for that session.
If your desired session date and time is full, you can add your name to the Waitlist.
Once I have chosen a session, can I cancel it?
YES
Using the Weekly Sign-Up App,
Select the View/Cancel My Bookings button, then check the corresponding box and hit the red Cancel Selected button.
You will receive an email confirmation of your cancelled session.
Players are NOT able to cancel a session that has already been played in order to re-book later in the week.
Be Courteous
We ask that you cancel your session no later than 8:00pm in the evening prior to your scheduled session (urgent cancellations are accepted). This way the waitlisted player has time to receive their notification in order to attend their session on time.
What is the NO SHOW POLICY?
Players who do not cancel their scheduled session and do not play their session will be considered a NO SHOW.
Session hosts confirm Attendance Records for each session.
NO SHOW players will receive an email notification from the President reminding them of the cancellation process
If the player is a NO SHOW twice in a 2-week period they will be suspended from booking sessions for an additional 2 weeks.
Can I be placed on a waitlist if a session is full?
YES.
If your desired session date and time is full, and you have not reached your weekday limit to play at Deportiva, you will be allowed to join the waitlist for another Deportiva weekday session.
You cannot be added to the waitlist more than once for the same session.
Being on the waitlist does not count as a booking
Select your desired session from the Choose Session drop down menu and click Sign up - a Full session will prompt you to join the waitlist
click the Join the Waitlist button
Your name will be added to the waitlist.
When a space in your desired session becomes available, and you are the next name on the waitlist, you will be promoted to the session.
You will receive an email notification of the session start time and your name is removed from the waitlist.
If you already have two (2) weekday bookings, you cannot join a waitlist for another weekday session unless it is a same-day or next-day session.
It is your responsibility to keep track of your waitlisted sessions and watch for a potential email notification.
You can track the waitlist on the View Waitlist button to help keep you prepared.
If you are NO SHOW to a session where you were on the waitlist and did not see the notification in time to attend, the circumstances will be taken into account.
Multiple NO SHOWs from the waitlist will result in the player’s suspension from booking sessions for the next 2-week period.
Can I share my playing space with another player?
NO
You cannot share your playing time. If you have friends who would like to play during their vacation, they are welcome to register for Drop-In play.
How many games can I play throughout the week?
Players may book up to two (2) weekday sessions per week at Unidad Deportiva (Monday through Friday).
Once you have two weekday bookings, you cannot book or join the waitlist for additional weekday sessions unless the session is today or tomorrow.
This rule is based on the day of the week, not the time of day
Players may book unlimited sessions at Escuela 144 (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday evenings and weekends only).
As a Drop-In player, and depending on availability,
you can book up to two weekday sessions per week at Unidad Deportiva (Monday through Friday) and
unlimited sessions at Escuela 144 (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday evenings and weekends only).
The same waitlist rules apply for Drop-In players.
What is the Same Day/Next Day Rule?
If you already have two weekday sessions booked, you may still book additional weekday sessions, but only if:
The session is today, or
The session is tomorrow
Sessions further in the future are not eligible.
These additional games are considered over and above your maximum number of sessions per week.
How do I cancel my membership?
Active memberships will close every season but membership lists will be used to invite players to join the following season.
Drop-In lists will also be kept for the following season.
Membership fees are non-refundable and memberships are non-transferable.
How do I keep up-to-date with Amigo Pickleball HUX communications?
You will be asked to provide a What’s App number upon registration and you will be added to the Amigo Pickleball Updates group.
The executive team and session hosts will share urgent updates regarding community events that require the cancellation of sessions, and any technical updates to the webpage.
